What advice can you give us for how to recover a mindmap like this when all the changes were lost?
In my case I hadn't used any "custom" markers, only the flags built into the program.

Maybe it is an OS thing. I've not touched LINUX for a long time... This is what I see with my PC running XP.
Scenario 1:
If I go to move Floating Topic down near the central Resource Management it tries to connect to it:

Now I have more than a casual interest in this.
On Thursday I edited a map I've been working on for several weeks.
In general I've developed a habit of copying an older file to the same folder, and giving it a new date.
Thus "Resource Management ...
Changing the shape to Rectangle might give it the look you want...each one having a consistent enclosure.
As it is, the default is Underline...kind of like you drew out a series of blanks on a form, then filled them in with scripts, styles,...lice...

I'd be curious what had to be done to recover the file.
And also wondering about the marker issue. Were these the standard markers that come with XMIND, or some custom ones that you had added?
