XMind -- Social Brainstorming and Mind Mapping

Hello,

just recently I have begun using XMind and I really like that program.

Today I have stumbled upon a major issue: I can't find out how to put a line break into a node (or whatever the english word for "Knoten" is).

Can anybody please help?

Kind regards,

Martin

You see those small triangles when writing a node? Before hitting "enter" take your mouse and click on those triangles, then slide to the left and you will get your line-breaks. I needed a while to find that out myself...

For Germans:

Auf die beiden kleinen Dreiecke rechts klicken und mit gedrückter linker Maustaste nach links schieben. Macht den Knoten schmaler und Zeilenumbrüche entstehen. Hat auch bei mir eine Weile gedauert...

Hey jester,

thank you much for your quick reply.

I would have prefered another way such that I could have shorter and longer lines, but I think I might be able to manage with your suggestion also.

Kind regards,

Hi,

Instead of just hitting Enter, hit "Control" + "Enter" - this will give you a line break.

Regards.

Use Ctrl-Enter when you're editing a node/topic, and it will make a line break for you.
